It’s a really, really smooth ride and one of the best you can get at $70 and below. $70 and below is definitely a ridiculously cheap price. It’s great for carving, with an awesome flex. I don’t see why anyone would find this blank longboard to be too expensive for the amazing quality they’re selling here! I have to be honest here; I have no idea

This board is a pintail shape, which means it’s good for beginners, for carving and many longboarding shenanigans; just don’t try to go down a steep hill. If you want to try downhill riding, please be well equipped with protection.

What else is great about this blank longboard? It comes in a huge variety of colors! There are lots of different colors to pick so this longboard will definitely appeal to you whether you’re into red or blue or black. The blank longboard is a great board to get if you want to customize your longboard. It comes in all these different colors, blank, and this should let you easily add your own paint job to it. If you want a longboard but are sick of all the varying designs out there, this is definitely the longboard for you.

The Mini Cruiser Longboard is a gorgeous longboard that is pretty much perfect for kids. Cruisers are usually on the smaller side, to ensure portability and all-in-all, a mini cruiser is best used when you just want to have some casual fun on a longboard, riding about on a lazy day.

A good mini cruiser longboard is usually lightweight, and short and stable -- cruisers are definitely meant for casual fun on the safe side!

The 9 by 43 inch Krown Pintail longboard has been built with wheel cutouts that function in minimizing wheel bites. It has a sleek and lightweight design has attracted many longboarding beginners and casual longboarders given that they can easily carry the longboard with them virtually anywhere. The Krown Pintail Longboard is manufactured by Krown Longboards (okay redundancy, sorry!) -- one of the very well-known longboard makers in the market.

Before delving deeper into the pros and cons of this product, let’s first take a quick look at the Krown Pintail Longboard’s specifications:

• Affordable
• 9 inch axle width
• Weighs 2.0 pounds

Having reviewed this product, I can say without doubt that the retail price is one of the most defining factors which has attracted many people to it. The Krown Pintail Longboard can be purchased for as low as $50. Yes, that’s right, $50! Compared to the hefty $300 price tags for boards from manufacturers like Loaded Longboards, the Krown 2 Logo Longboard is peanuts. But, take note, if you are looking for something that’s highly durable and of high quality then be prepared to spend not less than $100.00.

The Krown Pintail Longboard is also an ideal choice for beginners who are looking for a longboard that they can use to practice carving and speed. This is because unlike other cheap longboards, the Krown Pintail longboard allows better speeds and carving. No doubt, this is a great practice longboard for you to move on from in the near future once you’re more familiar with the basics longboarding. Check the next video to see it in action!

Given its affordability, Krown Longboards has sacrificed on a couple of features. As such, you cannot use the Krown Pintail Longboard for gnarlier longboarding activities as it has not been built for that. Initially I had thought that my weight would be an issue. I weigh 192 pounds which interestingly the board managed to hold. Over the years I’ve heard that you get what you pay for. However, it is not the case with this longboard. At a price of $65.00 or less I must say that the board offers more than just affordability. For folks like me who hardly have enough to spare, this was a great bargain. What’s more is that you can change the bearings, trucks and wheels. This has enabled me to keep using the board every now and again without having to worry about its durability.”

The Krown Pintail longboard was delivered in a sorry state. Nonetheless, I put some of the blame on FedEx delivery as the package had a couple of tears on it. Now if you’re serious about longboarding, the Loaded Dervish Longboard is an all-rounded board that’s suitable for any kind of longboarding, be it freeriding or freestyling, carving or cruising, or hillbombing or doing tricks -- this is a nifty longboard that’s as versatile as it is easy to ride.

If you haven’t heard of Loaded Longboards, they’re one of the best longboard manufacturers around, and have produced great, high quality boards that many professionals use -- so I wouldn’t expect any less from the Loaded Dervish longboard. As I had mentioned earlier, the Loaded Dervish Longboard comes in two flexes for longboarders -- the Loaded Dervish Flex 1 Longboard is best for those from 180 to 230 pounds, while the Loaded Dervish Flex 2 Longboard is best for those weighing from 100 to 175 pounds. The fact that Loaded put out two flexes for this board is a testament to its dedication in creating awesome longboards.

Pros and Cons: Loaded Dervish Longboard

The Loaded Dervish Longboard is pretty much one of the best longboards out there today. I’m not being biased here -- it is extremely hard to find a longboard as good as this bamboo masterpiece.

The Loaded Dervish Longboard is a phenom in terms of stability and ease of control. It has a PERFECT flex that makes for easy turns and is extremely ideal for carving -- any kind of carving, in fact. Carving is especially great with the Loaded Dervish Longboard, because the responsiveness of this board will make carving intuitive and easy.

With the possibility to make sharp turns with this, wheel bite became the least of my concerns when trying out this longboard. Its intuitive design means you’ll have a lot more confidence with riding, carving and cruising-  a huge morale booster!

It is so low and flexible and lightweight that it turns longboarding into an amazing experience -- you can feel the Loaded Dervish Longboard respond to you. Whirling around on it is a breeze and you’ll have no problem doing tricks on it, too. It’s a low board so that gives a naturally lower centre of gravity, increasing its stability and also making it far easier for you to kick off than other boards.

I just have one very, very minor gripe with the Loaded Dervish Longboard: it is pretty low, so that means you might get scratches on your deck every now and then. That’s not a major concern in my eyes because a longboard is meant to be worn out over time.

Also, if you’re looking for a longboard just for cruising around, and for that sole purpose only, I would recommend something else that would come for a cheaper price. The Loaded Dervish Longboard is great for ALL kinds of longboarding -- and that’s the beauty of it. If you just want a longboard for getting around, you could find something cheaper. I would recommend the Surf One Robert August II Longboard for that.

Some people may have issues with the price; but as a longboarding enthusiast, I say the price is well worth it -- you’ll NEVER find a better longboard than the Loaded Dervish for this price.

On almost every online longboarding source I have come across, the Loaded Dervish Longboard is highly rated and highly recommended. This is by no means an exaggeration. The Loaded Dervish Longboard -- the best longboard ever? I would say so.

The Moose Drop Through Longboard is one of these great beginner longboards; their longboards are simple yet great for overcoming that starting learning curve with their forgivingly built longboards. The Moose Drop Through Longboard has a nice width and length that can pretty much suit longboarders of all sizes, and it is a really good beginner’s longboard for a multitude of reasons; I will go into the Pros & Cons of this longboard in this next section..

Pros & Cons: Moose Drop Through Longboard

If you’re wondering why you should get a drop through longboard, or what a drop through longboard would be good for, it’s pretty simple: a drop through longboard means the deck is dropped lower in the middle. The advantage of this is that it makes it lower to the ground and easier to push. It also makes carving easier because adrop through longboard minimizes wheel bite. With the Moose Drop Through Longboard, you’ll find it much easier to push the longboard forward, and find it much easier to carve. Also, the Moose Drop Through Longboard is really stable with its drop through mounting – if you’re worried about the board wobbling too much when going at higher speeds, the board with its drop through mounting will definitely suit you.

The Moose Drop Through Longboard, for all those reasons above, is a great beginner’s longboard! The drop through mounting will make sure you don’t wobble too much, and also make for easier carving and pushing. Those are pretty awesome components in picking a good all-around beginner’s longboard.

The Moose Drop Through Longboard is also sold as a ‘speedboard’ at some places, which means it’s definitely a decent board that can pick up good speeds. If you want a longboard that can go stable at faster speeds, the Moose Drop Through Longboard is a pretty solid choice.

It’s important to note that longboards with drop through mounting don’t come cheap most of the time. The Moose Drop Through Longboard/Speedboard comes assembled and ready to ride at just $100. That’s an awesome price for a stable speedboard. If you can find a good drop through longboard complete at the same price, leave a comment below! I personally have not been able to find a drop through longboard cheaper than the Moose Drop Through Longboard.

I recently purchased this longboard, and its awesome! Really good stability, impressively sturdy, and fast. Well worth the price and my friends who i lended it to try bombing hills like it so much as well that now they want one!

This is the 2nd longboard I’ve bought, and iv been riding it every single day since i first got it. It is a great board for beginners, amateurs, or people looking for a fun way to get from point A to point B. Its nicely sized, has a pretty decent flex to boot (however keep in mind that i don’t weigh a lot), the wheel cutouts are great for carving and experimenting with different wheels. Since it comes plain, it allowed me to make my own custom design on it. The trucks are perfect. The only gripe I have is that it doesn’t have a kicktail – besides that, it’s an all-around amazing longboard.

Three racing stripes painted beautifully in red on a 7-ply maple deck gives this board a classic design that will never go out of style – you will feel like you own an extremely cool piece of surf history.

The Surf One Robert August II Longboard has a long name and a board length to match. It is named as a tribute to Robert August, a legendary surfer who was most prominent in the 1960s’ for starring in a classic documentary on surfing – 1966′s The Endless Summer.

For example, it’s perfect for traveling around on college campuses, because you can easily weave in and out of crowds. The Surf One Robert August II Longboard gives such a good flex that carving and making turns is extremely easy, even for a complete novice.

Another plus point for the Surf One Robert August II Longboard is that it comes assembled with Randall 180mm Longboard Trucks, which are excellent quality trucks. These trucks have received great reviews on Amazon.com for their stability and sturdiness – check them out here.

Now let’s move on to the cons. First of all, if you’re looking for a board which can let you do longboarding beyond the parameters of just cruising and carving, pumping or downhill racing, the Surf One Robert August II Longboard is not for you. This board allows you to get from place to place in style, and allows you to make pretty sharp turns, but that’s it.

Another downside is that the grip tape for this board isn’t the best, and may wear off quite early into your riding – I would recommend changing the griptape – that shouldn’t be too expensive, especially considering the affordable price of the Surf One Robert August II Longboard.

The versatile Atom Pintail longboard is extremely easy to ride! Even a newbie can get up, out and about cruising on this sleek board. The Atom Pintail Longboard has a pintail design allows for easy cruising, and its length allows you to carve and pump with ease even when you’ve hardly had any experience with a longboard. It is lightweight too, at a nifty 7.3 pounds, and allows for much greater ease of movement for a beginner new to carving and freeriding -- with this you can easily try downhill riding or even slaloming. Another plus to this is that the board’s shape minimizes the amount of wheel bite you will get when carving.

However, no board is perfect, and a downside to the performance Atom Pintail longboard is that its wheels are not very great -- but if you’re just starting out this shouldn’t bother you -- as a beginner it’s good to start out with some cheaper wheels and then decide on better ones once they wear out. So, with an upgrade for the wheels, this beginner longboard can actually be one of your favorites for a really long while.

Let me sum it up here: the Atom Pintail Longboard has slight shortcomings but has ideal specifications and a great design that seems to be built so even beginners can enjoy their first longboarding experience. It comes at an extremely affordable price and it’s without a doubt the best beginner longboard you can get for the price -- perfect if you are just toying with the idea of longboarding.

It has nice, sharp edges that allow you to carve on a dime. With its incredible concave, you can feel your feet almost gluing themselves to the board when you attempt to make a slide -- it makes sliding substantially more entertaining!

Its twin kicks and drop through design make it an amazing, responsive freeriding longboard -- you can try out a variety of different tricks with this beauty!

On top of that, this board is stable with a good stiff flex -- it’s not too stiff, and not too flexible either, so you can handle pretty good speeds going downhill or light bombing with this beast.

The Rayne Vendetta longboard comes highly recommended by members of the longboarding community, and you can see why:

Looks good huh? Well, it really is an amazing all-around longboard! If you’re a beginner the Rayne Vendetta Longboard is a pretty damn awesome board to try most kinds of longboarding out.

Well, you must be skeptical to hear of a board as great as this. I hate to say it, but the Rayne Vendetta Longboard DOES have some Cons. But, just one: it’s not a very durable board, and can be quite prone to pressure or stress cracks because of the drop-through mounting and cut-outs.

Seriously, that’s it. Besides just that, the Rayne Vendetta longboard is absolutely amazing and comes with my high recommendation.

• An absolute beast for freeriding and sliding -- just amazing

The Krown Sunset Longboard is a really cheap longboard, and one of the  cheapest longboards you can find online. However, this comes with its pros & cons -- with a lower price tag one should not expect something of quality.

For one, this is a pretty stiff board with low flexibility and pretty tight wheels. This might make turning a little harder. Take a quick look at this board with some video footage:

After a quick evaluation of the Krown Sunset Longboard, I can state with confidence that possibly the biggest plus point is its price. At just $65 on Amazon, this cheap longboard is extremely affordable -- most longboards cost upward of $90, and a really good one will cost you more than $200.

Besides that, the Krown Sunset Longboard has a nice paint job -- it wins points for style. The details on the underside of the deck are quite detailed and can be quite an attention-getter!

The Krown Sunset Longboard is quite decent for carving and cruising, and making turns on this cheap longboard is quite alright.

That’s where the good points end, unfortunately. This longboard is an extremely cheap longboard, so you shouldn’t expect much from it. It’s an average board for beginners, for some light longboarding -- I wouldn’t recommend doing tricks or hillbombing with this.

This isn’t a board that will last you a long time -- it’s made of rather stiff inflexible wood and is prone to getting pieces chipped away. The inflexibility of the Krown Sunset Longboard also means it would be a little hard to pull off cool stunts longboarding, or outperform a better board.

Verdict: Krown Sunset Longboard

The Krown Sunset Longboard is a very mediocre, below average longboard. However, for the price I would say it is pretty decent and will last as a beginner, cheap longboard for a good while. However, for a good beginner board, I would recommend the Atom Pintail Longboard. Also, if you plan on longboarding seriously, you should get something better for long-term longboarding.

On several longboarding sources I have read, the Krown Sunset Longboard has gotten decent reviews -- most of which suggest the biggest draw for this simple, average longboard is the price.

The best place to get the Krown Sunset Longboard would be Amazon. The price of this board is already pretty low, but on Amazon there is a whopping 34% discount! I have yet to find any other site that offers a better discount, but I’ll let you know if I do. I got this board about 2 months ago and at the time I loved it but I am getting more disappointed by the minute. Maybe its because I have been riding skateboards ever since I was four so I wouldn’t consider myself a beginner… BUT! If you have never really ridden a longboard/skateboard GET THIS BOARD FIRST!!! Then you can move on to a Loaded, Original, or Rain longboard.”

For a beginner deck i would say that its good for commuting and starting off. So carving and turning stuff like that. Most deff not a board for what actual longboards do. Bombing hills, sliding, doing standys could probably dance on it. But honestly if you are choosing to go into this and not put it aside, then why not go for something worthwhile, and put that 50 towards something that last longer. My personal favorite companies are Rayne, Landyatchz, and Loaded.”
